Superboy #86 celebrates how impressed the elderly are with everything:

Of course, true Legion fanboys and girls know that Lightning Lad started out as "Lightning Boy" until someone pointed out the more obvious moniker. It's also common knowledge that, as Stan Lee admitted, it was just plain easier to remember names that had alliteration, so names like that really are pretty common in earlier comics.
But Pa Kent, who you think would be much harder to impress since he raised a child who could.... oh, I don't know.... fly into outer space, bench-press a Buick Park Avenue and shrug off a shotgun blast to his face. But nope.... little bits of word-play are what dazzles the man.
Now, I admit that when I first saw this, I was just going to go on the never-gets-old witty observation of how the remote controlled fist should have been used to give Superboy the finger.
And yet, as I look at Luthor's gestures, it seems to me that he is making the "self-pleasuring" pantomime motion, which is even better. How I love the Silver Age of Comics!
I had no idea that so much in life hinged on how much I could bench press....
