"By Gar" is a fish colloquialism. Though I've never heard a Gar sworn to.
Man, Namor sure used to like to swear a lot.
Gee, I hope Namor got those anger issues resolved eventually.
"seconds later, namor races from the room, tearing the clothes from his body..." um, what clothes? he's usually nearly naked most of the time... the only thing he's wearing is black underwear! unless they mean to imply he took THAT off. oh my... ;)
although who would want to see namor naked? he's one ugly dude. :p

I guess this was before Stan Lee came along and started having Namor say "Imperius Rex" all the time.
The world would probably be a happier, if sillier, place if we could all work at least one fish-related swear per day into a conversation.
