Shenanigans! Does everyone in comics have the same blood type, or did it not matter if your blood wasn't the same type back in the 50's? For that matter, shouldn't you get a transfusion from someone who wasn't half ocean mammal? And who has the equipment for a transfusion on board a small boat? Arrrrrgh! Sometimes these stories can be so dumb!

It's okay. Check out that beak--he's clearly half duck, and aquatic mammals and aquatic birds all have compatible blood*. If we're lucky, the transfusion will drive all of the clown from his blood system.
* Or close enough for comic book science, anyway.
Why exactly, would being knocked unconcious require a blood transfusion?
It's pretty obvious, what he'd REALLY like is mouth-to-mouth resussitation (sic) but's just too shy to ask.
After the transfusion he'll come back as nemo and aquaman will have to help look for him.
