I Can Prove Your Innocence if You Wrestle with Me Friday!

When you dress up like a bat and make everything bat-related, you are probably going to be a little unorthodox. And that's really all we have to say to segue into Batman #118:

I guess skates are better than nothing, but if you're down the "Bat Skates," you really haven't adequately prepared or equipped yourself for this particular task.

Then again, you could always steal something:

You know just as well as I do that, despite what Robin is saying, someone is out one boat.

But then, it's all worth it when Batman shows up at the guy's trial and wants to do this:

People thought it would somehow assist the prosecution until the mounting and dry-humping began.

So, a week and a day after I lost my dear friend Emma, I'm out walking Tux and this guy came from nowhere and followed me home:

I've taken to calling him "Uncle Walter," after the Ben Folds Five song:

.... which really isn't fair to him, because he's extremely smart and very well-behaved. It was the way he just walked into the house as if to say, "Do you live here? I think I'll live here, too! What time is breakfast, and can't it be now?"

See you Monday!

Cute dog but I hope that you're going to contact the local SPCA and try and find the rightful owner before you decide to keep him. Someone might be missing Uncle Walter very much.

Damn, that is a cute dog.

And belated condolences on your recent loss, and all of your losses. As I always say, they live just long enough to break our hearts.

I am all about reunification when possible. There have been several attempts at locating the owner, but the owner has neither come forward nor made any attempts to recover the dog. So, I suspect Uncle Walter was dumped in the neighborhood.

The moral of this story, of course, is to tag your dog. I have taken many, many dogs off the streets, and it's amazing how few of them have tags. When they have had tags, I've been able to get them home in a matter of hours. If you love your pet, put a tag or a chip on him/her so I can get your friend home! :-)

You know that's exactly the way dogs think. And that's why they're so lovable.

That's how we get our cats. Jenny literally walked into our home when I was an infant, Julie was abandoned and our neighbors rescued her, and Ryan is the daughter of Misty, another cat who once decided to hang out with us after she was already pregnant. (The rest of Misty's litter went to good homes and we made sure to have her spayed afterwards.)

We got Julie and Ryan around the same time so they got used to each other, but Julie is violently against pretty much any other animal coming near the house. She's scared off raccoons twice her size and groundhogs three times her size. (She's scared to death of deer, but fortunately the deer haven't come near our house lately.) Thus, we really don't expect to adopt any more cats until Julie passes on.
