In Which We Ponder Mustaches

So, coming off of the incredible high of the Turtle-Man last Friday, I took a look at Golden Age Captain America #24 with high hopes.

I should have known better.  But really, after the Turtle-Man, can you blame me for thinking that Captain America was going to be a gold mine?

I mean, there was this word of wisdom from a dying man:

I almost died once, and it certainly gives you a perspective that those who haven't looked their mortality in the face could never hope to understand.  Indeed.... we should all look in the mustache.

Anyway, the next issue of Captain America gave us this guy:

Can you tell what he's supposed to be?  No?  Well, I'll tell you this much: He was no Turtle-Man.  Based on his appearance, guess what sea creature was his namesake and impress me with your in-depth knowledge of marine biology!

Also, let us never forget:

No wonder Jimmy loved 'em!  I can't get enough dextrose!

I know.  Consider the mustache.

I SAID CONSIDER IT!  REFLECT UPON THE MUSTACHE AND ALL IT'S RADIANT GLORY!   ALL THE COOL KIDS ARE DOING IT!

See you tomorrow!

I totally see where you got that... but nope! To be fair, he looks more like a catfish than what he named himself after.
