Quickly, cancel the "big day" and Jack's "crack" at "those nuggets" based on a snap diagnosis of a strange feeling around the mouth made by a... can I just go ahead and say it? A werewolf. This guy looks like a werewolf to me. It might be his unkempt hair or his clawlike hands or his snappy suspenders but something about him just screams lycanthropy.
Unless scurvy is caused by actions commonly experienced in prison, I don't think this is going to be cured with vitamin C.
