Not as Amazing as They're Making it Sound....


I guess kids in the 1950s were more easily impressed. What diction! What enunciation! And the way he handles those note cards! What a man!

    I'm guessing this scene is taking place at a high school debate club and the crowd is made up of 100% spazmatic nerdenheimers. The second they leave that little room and re-enter the high school jungle they're all gettin' wedgies.
