I think I'll live here..."Do you live here? I think I'll live here, too! What time is breakfast, and can't it be now?"

That's how we get our cats. Jenny literally walked into our home when I was an infant, Julie was abandoned and our neighbors rescued her, and Ryan is the daughter of Misty, another cat who once decided to hang out with us after she was already pregnant. (The rest of Misty's litter went to good homes and we made sure to have her spayed afterwards.)

We got Julie and Ryan around the same time so they got used to each other, but Julie is violently against pretty much any other animal coming near the house. She's scared off raccoons twice her size and groundhogs three times her size. (She's scared to death of deer, but fortunately the deer haven't come near our house lately.) Thus, we really don't expect to adopt any more cats until Julie passes on.The Mad Tinkererhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17795502783343673424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445236716513895247.post-164111977599779622010-02-26T15:42:22.649-06:002010-02-26T15:42:22.649-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Captain Infinityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02043927506160341160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445236716513895247.post-74522724305414069752010-02-26T15:42:21.639-06:002010-02-26T15:42:21.639-06:00You know that's exactly the way dogs think. There...I am all about reunification when possible. There have been several attempts at locating the owner, but the owner has neither come forward nor made any attempts to recover the dog. So, I suspect Uncle Walter was dumped in the neighborhood.

The moral of this story, of course, is to tag your dog. I have taken many, many dogs off the streets, and it's amazing how few of them have tags. When they have had tags, I've been able to get them home in a matter of hours. If you love your pet, put a tag or a chip on him/her so I can get your friend home! :-)Adam Barnetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08573914395859734760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445236716513895247.post-18388681359396194782010-02-26T10:59:37.303-06:002010-02-26T10:59:37.303-06:00Damn, that is a cute dog.
