(Of course it was actually so the bat symbol could be trademarked!)Britt Reidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07245579677452948620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445236716513895247.post-3860820072178279692010-04-23T10:48:40.485-05:002010-04-23T10:48:40.485-05:00Wow, if a flaming sword logo caused that much pani...Wow, if a flaming sword logo caused that much panic, I guess thugs' hearts just plain old stopped beating when they saw that skull on the Black Terror's chest. Frankly, I've seen scarier shirts in the casual wear section at Target.

The "bullet hole" logo wouldn't be intimidating when you think about it, because it would make it look like the Avenger himself had been shot. However, this may actually have been a cunning strategy:

"The Crimson Avenger! Quick, shoot him!"

"Why bother? He's been shot already, apparently by a cannon, and he's still alive. Look at his chest!"

"Guess you're right. Save your bullets, men. It's hopeless. Ungfff!"Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13840878272493564209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445236716513895247.post-64717420088554008332010-04-23T02:00:36.736-05:002010-04-23T02:00:36.736-05:00"partners-in-crushing" just says it all"partners-in-crushing" just says it allokieqtnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445236716513895247.post-45925293845986668702010-04-22T17:22:04.867-05:002010-04-22T17:22:04.867-05:00Wing looks more like an villain with that constant...Wing looks more like an villain with that constant sinister look on his face. =\
Still, I suppose that it was somewhat progressive that they actually portrayed him as an good guy instead of being some random villain like they normally did with Asian characters back then.Aurora Moonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445236716513895247.post-69053257813868081622010-04-22T10:29:19.699-05:002010-04-22T10:29:19.699-05:00I really hate it when they bring back dead charact...I really hate it when they bring back dead characters. I always thought it was a sun symbol, and it probably was until it was revamped in the modern Justice Society of America series.

Can you believe it took something big and supernatural to take out Wing?Adam Barnetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08573914395859734760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445236716513895247.post-23982575021476660652010-04-22T07:36:00.268-05:002010-04-22T07:36:00.268-05:00"which would have made more sense if he actua..."which would have made more sense if he actually fired a gun instead of running around without any weaponry or super-powers whatsoever."

Initially, the Crimson Avenger was a Shadow / Green Hornet rip-off with cloak, fedora and a .45.
