The Implausible Origin of Strongman!

SuperStrongman from Crash Comics #4!  Check him out!

Able to leap huge distances!  We're talking miles, baby!

Able to uproot trees with his bare hands (although I'm not sure why ripping up a mature tree conserves energy as opposed to simply leaping over the falls, which he can clearly do, but whatever)!

Able to kick a speeding torpedo back to its source while treading water!

Heck, he's able to pull an entire boat under the surface tension of the ocean!

Remember how he got these abilities?

Yoga.

Yes.  This:

This (well, not the baby, but you know what I mean) gave him powers of Kryptonian proportions.  I call Shenanigans for this character's entire origin.

Meanwhile, let's check out some Fun with Out of Context Dialogue / Artwork (tm!) from Startling Comics #37!

And then there's this Moment of Comic Book Greatness! (tm!):

I believe we have the best documented illustration of the faceplant in the history of ever.

See you Monday!

I don't know, I buy Yoga ie; "force of will" more than a radioactive spider or just being a mutant. At least Strongman actually had to work really hard for his powers. :-)
