Here's a head-scratcher from Amazing Spider-Man #340:
Mind you, Pete barely knows this guy, and he's ponying up a blood sample???
Yeah, that would be a problem for me. I'm not sure I would want anyone else, even a perceived friend, to have that kind of intel on me. Not only would I be concerned about it falling into enemy hands, but anyone even rumored to have that kind of info on me would be a target.
And do we even need to get into the whole "compromising the secret identity" thing? Yeesh!
Hey! It's time for Fun with Out of Context Dialogue! (tm!):

Thank you, thank you! Tip your waitress!
See you tomorrow!

If Pete wanted his blood analyzed for some reason, why would he have just gone to Reed? By now they had met and even fought side by side several times. For that matter maybe even Morbius. I mean at least he knows him.
I meant to say "why wouldn't he", not "why would he"
That's a dang good point, Marv! He has access to one of the smartest guys on the planet with whom he TRUSTS. This was a real facepalm if ever there was one.
at least he didn't start reciting the story about how he came to be spiderman to that guy!
also, he might have thought, and rightly so, that a trip to the fantastic four mansion would end up with him battling weird negative space insectoid creatures in another dimension... reed is kind of a hard guy to hang out with because of stuff like that.
in other news, i'm using the pretty girls line on my wife tonight!
Vince Coleman....you haz point....lol
