As we dust ourselves off from certain Mayan-predicted death and prepare ourselves for the new year, let us learn a little somethin' somethin'.
From Amazing Spider-Man #165, which taught us that light shows...
... are just not that impressive in comic-book form. Maybe if I played Pink Floyd's The Wall at the same time I looked at these...
Car races, rock concerts, and now laser-light shows can be added to the short list of things that aren't made more awesome by comics. It's a very short list. Always assume comics will make things more awesome unless I tell you otherwise. It's a good rule for getting through life.
See you tomorrow!

Actually, I am gonna have to disagree with ya there. I saw a Ghost Rider comic that had an awesome "car (motorcycle) chase scene and some of the 3D comics by Valiant with the use of the prism glasses included made those very light showish and they were done very well. Course when that Spidey comic came out they didn't have those sorts of glasses, but if you do it correctly, you can translate almost anything to the comic pages well. Maybe not sound, that would probably be the limit that I can think of. Altho I have gotten afew comics with those little sort of plastic records that you can play on your phonograph too...
Come to think of it, nowadays they could include SD cards, you know those really tiny ones, the kind you put in cell phones. They could make just a bare bones one with just like one sound file or something on it. If they made it with very little memory it would be cheap enough to not add much to the price of the comic. I wonder if any comics have done that yet. They have tried almost every other gimmick, why not that one?
Considering Amazing Spider-Man 700 had a 7 dollar price tag, Marv, that would have been the time to try a gimmick like that one!
