Swooosh and Klobb Wednesday!

I know if you just wanted the same gags repeated over and over, you'd just watch Saturday Night Live.  So, I was trying to be all responsible and dignified and disregard Elongated Man Silver Age Weirdness.

But then came Detective Comics #380:

Sure, we've seen the hair stretch and act as if it had muscle tissue.  We've also seen the eyeballs come out and go every which way (which I still think is a bad idea because he's just begging for an eye injury).

That isn't the reason for today's post.  This is:

Yes, elongated shoulder blades.  And I am totally grossed out.  That's just wrong.  How I'm not going to think about that while we're carving the turkey this weekend, I have no idea.

Okay, I'm off for Thanksgiving holiday until Monday!  I'll see you then!  Safe travels, everyone!

When you think about it, why didn't any writers or artists do a "Dark Elongated Man"?
Think of it, he's the man for whom every part of his body is a lethal weapon, literally!
He's the man no prison or trap can hold!
If he went bad, it would've taken the big guns of the JLA or JSA to stop him!
I'm really surprised they never did something along those lines, especially in the grim-n-gritty 1980s.

Craziest of all is how the shoulder blades are literally tearing through his jacket. That's some powerful shoulder blade stretching right there.

Well, they are "blades" after all.

Urgh. Now I love Ralph, but that's just gross.

I'm with Britt here.... it would had been nice to see a evil Ralph story arch. mainly because he often makes himself look like a monster half the times, like in the first panel. he doesn't even look human there. *shudders*

no wonder why that thug clearly looked terrified and dropped his gun there.

Ralph turned evil once when he drank his stretching tonic while moving at super-speed. I am not proud of knowing that.
