.... considering how far forward Gwen is leaning, wouldn't she be flat on her face in the next panel? She wasn't, but I think it would have been awesome if that were the case.

Yep! Couldn't agree more. Lion head eye rays. No doubt about it. Shouldn't be that hard a concept to wrap your mind around Adam.
Also, while that hairdo is NOT MJ is QUITE ginchy.
Mary Jane looks like my grandmother with her ginchy hair. Granted, my grandmother was a handsome woman, but I wonder if they realized in the 60s that this was the hairdo old ladies would be wearing for the next 40+ years.

Panels are fixed but your incorrect statement concerning so called "nipple rays" when it is clearly, plainly, OBVIOUSLY lion eye rays is still broken.
