Sorry no sarcastic comment here, but throughout elementary school, I received compliments from my teachers for my large vocabulary and I attribute it to Stan and the gang. I think people 45 years ago were more literate than we are today.
Oh, I have little doubt that people had a more extensive vocabulary back then. I picked up a lot of things in comics that wowed my teachers and I think comics from that era have lots of good things to teach.
This site supports itself. Time and materials needed to bring you the laughs is a labor of love from me to you. However, there are a countless number of innocent souls out there who do need your support. Find your nearest Animal Rescue group with this link and dontate your time, money and love to them. Thanks!

Actually, Reed is a ventriloquist. You'll notice that Sue doesn't even have her mouth open.
Maybe she keeps a word-a-day calendar on the kitchen counter.

It's just that Sue is a moron.
Point taken. But I think you're being generous by calling Sue a moron.
Is it just me, or does it look like Reed is giving a reach-around? It mostly Ben's eyes...
