Yeah! Sue's not totally useless!
Fool! Reed can clearly see the helpful dotted lines and flash of light from the impact!
And, of course, if the forcefield couldn't withstand the impact, could Sue absorb the blow of the Thing running into her full force?
I'm sure it wouldn't hurt a bit.
