My 50th Post - Something for Everyone

Since this is my 50th post, I wanted to show off how much better at blogging I've grown lo these last few weeks, so check it out, the extreme variety of humor you get here, with a little help from Fantastic Four #2 (Vol. 1):

The Intellectual Zing

For your consideration:

I say, that's quite a triumph of sculpture, wot? Hmmmmm.... who approaches us, alight like the fire of a thousand dying suns? 'Tis the Human Torch! Well played, Sirrah!:

But what scribe Stan "The Man" Lee failed to note is that, as the Torch is an open flame and not a adiabatic temperature (that's a temperature that doesn't lose its heat, Learned Believers!), his temperature, according to Dr. Vytenis Babrauskas of Fire Science and Technology, Inc., would not exceed 900* Celcius.

You see where I'm going with this, of course: Glass itself does not begin to melt until a temperature above 900* Celcius! Marble melts at temperatures much higher than 1600* Celcius! Such a riotous error by Master Lee!

Wow.... that takes way too long. I think we'll stick with the classics:

The "Comics Make No Sense" Classic Zing:

"Cheeze and Crackers! There's nothing we can do to save the city..... except maybe flip that switch back on."

Muuuuuuch better. I'm looking forward to bringing you 5000 more! Thanks for checking back with me Monday thru Friday!

Ummmm...marble melts? It isn't like it's chocolate you know.

Actually, marble DOES melt, but at a much higher temperature than the Torch could muster. The Torch also melted planes in the previous issue by them "flying too close." Stan really overestimated how hot an open flame could get.
